Here is Freckled Lil Bum, aka Tex. He is a 6 year old registered gelding standing at 14.3 hands. In the arena he can walk, trot, lope. He really shines out on the trails. He will go out alone or with others. He is happy to lead or follow. He doesn't rush coming home. He is ridden on the Gateway Trail with all the bikers, hikers, rollerbladers, strollers and whatever else the trail has to offer without issue. He will stand tied without pacing around or digging a hole. He is good for the farrier. He is weary of some vets, and is up to date on shots and dewormer. Fly spray can make him nervous where he moves around but will settle in after a couple sprays. Put a horse in front of him and just about anyone can ride him. Ready for camping and trail riding just in time for the best riding of the year!
The bad side of this horse is he does have a studdy attitude out on the pasture. He would do best with all geldings. It doesn't affect him while riding. In the arena he does need a rider of intermediate level. The rider has to know how to sit/post all the gaits and not balance on his mouth and give a release when he does the right thing.
Here's a video of him in the arena then heading out on the trail:

Tex was purchased last fall by his current owner. She wanted him as her forever horse. He is for sale because his owner at 70 years old has been dealing with some medical issues. It turns out was diagnosed with Parkinson's and is having symptoms strong enough to not be able to ride. Her balance is too far off to be able to stay seated while a horse moves. She really loves horses and has been with them most her life and eventually is going to try driving to be able to stay involved with horses. Sadly her riding days are over.
