Just reduced from $5800 to 4900. Up for sale and breaking my heart to see it go is this fully sorted, ultra reliable BMW x3. This car is a winter killer. Ive owned about 25 cars since the age of 16 and this one takes the title for best winter handling car I have ever owned. We have a HORRIFIC driveway that has killed many cars in winters past, and the need for AWD is certain. However- there is something about this BMW that a mechanic friend of mine told me about once. He said something about the AWD system in this model has a mechanical element that makes these cars famously good in the winter. And he is right.
Inside, walnut wood and tan leather abound, with heated seats (front and back!), heated steering wheel, cold AC, hot warm air, and a newer Apple car play console installed which plays music, navigates for you, and a lot more. This thing is amazing and I would not hesitate to drive it to Texas and back today. NO leaks, no known issues, no rust, 22 MPG combined city/Hwy, 260 horsepower, a "sport mode" that actually makes the car quite aggressive if needed, folding rear seats (Ive slept in this thing car camping a few times in winter on the north shore), and a strong engine with a super crisp transmission. Everything works except the passenger side mirror. Since owning Ive had no issues, but did replace all of the suspension and the front two "CV axels" I believe they are called. Good brakes and tires both at about 50% left.
When I bought this car I test drove three of this model, and chose this one because it had the strongest engine and crispest transmission. This is a SERIOUSLY capable car in the winter, smooth as hell on the highway, easy to drive, safe, and I am truly sad to see it go. Awesome front and back extended sunroof. Email me.
