Helping my fiance sell her Jeep. She is sad to get rid of it but is wanting to switch to a car that's easier to get in and out of. We aren't super motivated to sell, so we will not respond to lowball offers. Will try to get some better pictures uploaded but this is what I have for now.
The Jeep has 114,000 miles on it, however she had the transmission go out and put in a rebuilt tranny, and also had oil consumption issues so the engine was also rebuilt shortly after the transmission (all covered by warranty). So the engine and transmission only have around 25,000 miles on them.
The Jeep is a unique color that you don't see very often and get's a lot of compliments. It was originally a hard top but we sold the hard top and bought a brand new "Best top" which is a soft top hybrid. Also have a back up rear hatch window from a bad hinge on the first one we got. I believe we also have extra side panels from that.
- Has remote start
- Has an "Alien shade" under the best top which is nice for still providing a little shade when the top is open.
- Aftermarket XD Series Wheels and Terra Grappler G2 Nitro A/T tires (LT285/65R18 125/122R). Also have a matching 5th for the spare. Still a lot of tread on the tires.
- Rugged Ridge floor mats in entire vehicle (including hatch area).
- New brake pads and rotors put on last year.
- Aftermarket mirrors that come with it for when the doors are off, which is extremely nice to have. Also have a nice tool for hitting the door pins to make getting the doors off easier.
- Aftermarket Bicyaco LED headlights. Still have the fog lights that she hasn't put on yet.
- Aftermarket grill covers, fuel cap and tail light covers.
- Tekonsha trailer brake controller
CONS:
- The stereo recently stopped working. We found out it's a common thing with these OEM Jeep stereos. Found a fix people did where you take it apart and heat up a node on the board. Did that twice and it worked for a short time but never totally fixed it. We considered putting in an aftermarket stereo, but since she's selling it, we thought someone might rather pick their own stereo to put in. We've just been rocking a bluetooth speaker on the dash :)
- The drivers side front fender has a nice little gouge in it from when our son was a learning to drive (shown in picture)
- The front passenger seat cushion got kind of crushed down on one side. Not even sure how it happened, and it didn't change the comfort at all, but just wanted to point it out.
- This is kind of a common things we've seen with Jeeps, but there's some white residue that comes down from the door hinges. There might be ways to fully get rid of it but we've just never done that.
- Rear window defrost is not hooked up. When our dog was a puppy she chewed the cord for that and we never fixed it because we never really needed it.
This is a super fun vehicle. It's been well maintained and never beaten on. I always wanted to really take it off-roading but we only took it on a trail once and it was a very tame/easy trail. It does great in the winter and will not get stuck, and it's super fun in the summer with the top open and the doors off.
