The Territory Account Manager is responsible for developing a book of business and growing revenue through new sales and information products within a specific geographic territory. There is a minimal amount of travel involved with this position (minimum 25-30%) which can vary during peak travel/trade show seasons. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years, business-to-business sales experience and experience in relationship selling.
What does the job entail?
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Generates and develops new business to meet specified production goals.
Manage a sales pipeline and monthly sales forecast as well as activity tracking within our Clients CRM system.
Maintains and develops relationships through partner referrals, in efforts of generating new business.
Responds to all inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
Prepares and presents sales proposals.
Plans and manages sales territory.
Understands and communicates information regarding company products, services, and policies and procedures to new and existing clients.
Possesses and maintains thorough knowledge of the automotive industry and product information
Gathers information on local competition and prevalent industry and business climate within the region on a continual basis; communicates information to management and others as needed.
Negotiates contracts and work agreements.
Ensures that all required client paperwork is complete, accurate, and submitted on time.
Provides timely and accurate reports as required.
Attends and participates in business/trade events that impact business unit.
Attends and participates in team strategic sales meetings.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Has the ability to travel 25-30% of the time.
Ability to conduct live presentations via face-to-face, trade shows and live webinars (over the phone).
Represents our Clients brand with a high-level of professionalism and polish at all times
What qualifications do we look for?
5+ years of successful sales experience, preferably in business-to-business environments
Track record of building and maintaining strong client relationships and closing new business
Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred, but can be off-set with strong sales experience
Digital marketing experience beneficial, but not required
