We were in touch every day for months on end and then silence, and our last phone call had been friendly, warm, making plans, laughter, and dreaming up crazy, but doable, future ideas. Texts over the next few days/week had a different/odd vibe though, and then... nothing, and no goodbye or why, or really anything.
Not sure if it was just a ghosting/break up/friendship ending or if something was wrong or had happened, or even some weirdness with a broken, lost, or stolen phone or something, as so few write numbers down if they are in their cell phones these days, and I’ve sure lost some contacts over the years with new phone or carriers, or like someone going through a rough patch and retreating from the world, or worse. There were reasons/signs that lend worry about the latter options, although maybe it was just an a-hole dude thing.
I know the outlook's Grimm, and maybe I’m making an a$$ out of myself, but I figured I'd put it out there and give it a try.
