YAESU FT-290R 2m All Mode Portable Transceiver with microphone covers 144-148 mHz CW/LSB/USB/FM. 1/2 watt low power and 2.5 watts high power (switchable on rear of radio). Uses 8 'C' size cells for internal power or you can use external power via jack on rear of radio. This radio is an excellent and easy choice to use as a UHF or SHF IF, just add a transverter.
