Ski #2: I bought it with 80 hours on it in 2006. Same year, same color, same model. I had a new motor put in it in 2018. Sadly it broke down on me in June of 2025 and the repairs that are needed are pretty extreme. Way more money than I care to spend on a 22 year old ski. However, if you're mechanical, you could build this one back up as well and save a bunch of money. If not, keep it as a spare parts ski for ski #1.
The following is a report from my mechanic's shop for ski #2:
We removed and disassembled engine. Counterbalance/crankshaft gears are stripped. No lube. This is a sealed chamber that is filled with gear lube when assembled. It either leaked out or was not properly filled. No way of knowing. PTO piston and cylinder have some scoring also. Recommend shortblock to repair. - end of report
I will miss these skis. I have been using them for about 17 of the 22 years I have owned them.
Lots of little scratches and scuffs from years of riding, but I polished them almost every time I was done using them.
Both the front bumper and rear corner bumpers are no longer available. I have 1 extra of each bumper.
Have gray colored covers for both skis. They got ripped a little bit in places when I took a longer trip, but they still do the job.
