1890s EAPG Pedestal Bowl
Measures 8” Across and 5.25 High. Pressed Glass, Diamond and Star Pattern, Pedestal Bowl from Ohio Flint Glass
Measures approximately 7.5 inches in diameter and 5.25 inches tall.
A gorgeous compote bowl by Ohio Flint Glass Co. in the Diamond Pattern. This bowl dates from the 1890s and is pressed glass. The pattern consists of diamond, star, and fan designs. The top edge is scalloped and each scallop has a star. The bowl is heavy and the glass clear.
“Flint Glass” is a term for glassware with a lead content, pressed and/or blown. In the United States “Flint Glass” was produced prior to the Civil War. Pieces with lead content are much heavier and have a bell sound or ring when you “ping” the glass with your finger.
This antique bowl is in excellent condition. It was my Mom’s who lived in Indiana (next to Ohio).
This would make a great housewarming, hostess, wedding, shower, or holiday gift.
A great piece to add to your collection or for a collector of Early American Glass.
