A good example of what I like to call frontier paintings, often showing a river and simple home mill in a wilderness setting. This one looks to have been painted in the late 1800’s, and is in very good condition for its age; has been cleaned and revarnished; antique oak frame also spiffed up from the condition in which I found it. Beneath the lower edge of the frame there is a painted line that reads “Along the ____ River”. I forgot to write down the name of the river before remounting the painting after cleaning. 23” by 19” frame, 20” by 16 1/2” canvas; $185. Bob
