Rare Snap-On ratchet with “Patent Appl’d For” on the handle. This 3/8” drive ratchet is from the 1930’s and is in good working condition. Model number F-70. Operates smoothly. Others are listed on eBay for $200 to $300. As indicated in the attached article, Snap-On was issued the patent in 1932, so this wrench was made before they received the patent. The design formed the basis for most reversible ratchets produced. The design remains in production today.
