7BR / 3Ba 3000ft2 available now
rent period: weekly
We're looking for another grad student or young professional to rent a room in our intentional community house. We will have two rooms available June 1st for $650 and $590 per month, or $260 and $200 a week. We will have another room available Sept 1st for $615/ month. You'd be living with a grad student from Eastern Europe studying engineering, a grad student in geography, a young professional from Puerto Rico working in finance, and a young woman who works at Goodwill. We like to eat together on Sunday evenings, play games, watch movies, host barbecues, hike, camp, bike and garden. In addition to our human housemates, we live with a Springer Spaniel, Aussiedoodle, and Russian blue cat. Unfortunately, we can't take anymore animals, but our animals love to make new friends.

The house is a quiet, large, updated, fully furnished Victorian with 7 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and lots of common spaces. It's filled with antique, hardwood floors and nice carpets, and is surrounded by flower gardens. We're 3 blocks from the green line near Lexington and University in the old St. Paul neighborhood of Frogtown. We're 1.8 miles from Como Lake and close to lots of Asian and American grocery stores. We're a 28 minute train ride to the East Bank and 33 minutes from the West Bank.

Frogtown has always been an immigrant neighborhood, originally settled by European railroad workers and later Vietnamese, Latino, and Hmong families. It has always been an affordable neighborhood for middle and lower middle income families. You will see lots young couples with children and seniors walking down the streets of Frogtown. Our immediate neighborhood gathers occasionally for barbecues and chitchat during the summer

We're looking for people who love the earth and who strive to take care of it by recycling and reducing their use of plastic. We're looking for people who like to eat and cook at home, so that we can see each during mealtimes. We'd also like people who are neat and clean and who wouldn't mind doing a weekly cleaning job to help keep the house clean. If you like to garden, all the better, because our house is surrounded by flower gardens, and the Frogtown Farm is about 4 blocks away, where people can grow vegetables.

If you are interested in community living, please tell us about yourself.
