This chest was found abandoned out in the elements. The latch and lid worked, and the interior looks like new but the exterior finish was ruined. We stripped the old finish (4 times), sanded (3 times), and repainted everything white (3 coats). The latch works perfectly, the piano hinge looks like new, the linkage for the lid works perfectly, the felt lined blanket drawer on the bottom is exceptional, and the inner markings for Lane and Aroma Tight Pressure Tested are clear and clean. There are some numbers on the bottom of the drawer that might have some significance, but I am not sure what they mean. All the labor and materials mean that I worked for less than minimum wage to get it to this condition, but I have no need of it. If you are interested, please make an offer for consideration.
