This Johnson Bros Pink Red Old Britain Castles Tea Cup & Saucer Set features a charming design inspired by British castles, specifically Kenilworth Castle from 1792 on the saucer. Made of porcelain and ceramic, this vintage set includes a round cup and saucer with a pink color and a glossy finish.
One side of the cup features the Stratford on Avon 1792 and the opposite side Penshurst Kent in 1792.
I find no utensil marks and to the best of my knowledge do not believe the cup was ever used.
The bottom of the cup is embossed but not filled in with ink, however, I believe it reads, Made in England.
I have done the best to describe this set, please excuse any misspellings.
cup measures about 3-1/4" in diameter & saucer is about 5-1/2" in diameter
