This is a high end and high tech fully automatic direct drive turntable from the mid 1980s. It features a magnetically levitating DC servo motor and an electronic DC servo tonearm. Tracking force, anti-skating, and Q damping are adjusted electronically via dials on top of the plinth. It’s very heavy, with a substantial base and a 6.4lb platter. This table has been recently gone through. All electrolytic capacitors were replaced, pots cleaned, spindle lubed, and all tonearm functions (including tracking force) adjusted to factory specs. It has a brand new
dustcover as well. The transformer has been replaced with the correct JVC 120v model to allow it to be used in the US without an adapter.(it was originally a 100v Japan model) The cartridge is a Grado Prestige Blue (as far as I can tell). The plinth has some cosmetic flaws on the bottom corners as shown in the pics, but presents well overall. Demo available.
