I've aged out of sea kayak touring, so regretfully, I’m selling my beloved sea kayak + all my kayak accessories.
I bought my Current Designs brand fiberglass boat in 1994 and have gone on many kayak trips, in all kinds of sea conditions, on Lake Superior and other places. My boat is very sound, but cosmetically, the fiberglass hull has scuff marks from so much use. Years ago, I had the Winona, MN factory install a deck compass and an upgraded seat. This boat best fits a larger person. I’m 6’-1” and about 200#.
The Solstice GT model, now retired by Current Designs, was the flag ship of their touring kayak fleet and the most popular composite kayak ever made. This classic boat delivers a predictable feel while slicing through the water. Like all Solstice's, the GT has outstanding acceleration, glide, and tracking and can cover some serious distance in a hurry. The ample volume storage hatches have enough room for excursions on the biggest waters of the world.
My boat was made in Canada (a plus), and is not the GT-HV high volume model.
My price is reduced to $1500. o.b.o. I've received several ridiculous "low ball" offers. I'm not considering them. Boats of this quality aren’t made anymore.
