Grand Performance closed on 5/23/26 after 43 years selling
and fixing bikes for the citizens of Saint Paul. Dan Casebeer,
the owner, was a professional cyclist who in 1983 held the U.S.
hour record. His primary supplier over the years was Bianchi.
This frame is an early 1990's steel frame built in Italy, which is
important if a person prefers craftmanship and historical
significance. Bianchi is the oldest bike manufacturer in the
world founded in Milan Italy in 1885. The iconic celeste color
is most likely due to the use of excess military paint after
World War II.
