Beautiful, made in Japan, lugged chromoly frameset. Would have come from the factory as a 27" wheel machine, but it came to me as only a frameset. I took the opportunity to build, what is essentially a modern bike, on this vintage chassis.
The frameset is lightweight, and the construction is very tidy. Clean lug work, paint has a beautiful metal flake, and is in very nice condition. Double butted Ishiwata tubing rivals the quality of high end tubing like Columbus or Reynolds. Beefy forged Shimano dropouts with needle adjusters are a cool detail.
The whole bike really comes together when you factor in the wheelset, classic looking, but modern, Mavic double wall 700c rims on Shimano 105 hubs. Beautiful condition, roll super smooth, with no dents or dings. 9 speed component mix of Shimano Tiagra and 105. Salsa Pro-Moto bars are pretty wide, and have a good ergo & flare to them. Frameset accommodates the 700x32 Specialized all condition tires easily, you could maybe fit more. Tires are used, but in decent shape with plenty of tread left and no cuts, they're pretty durable overall.
Vintage touches like the Belt, made in Japan, genuine leather saddle, and the Shimano 600 crankset set this machine apart from all the other bikes out there on the mean streets. New cables, new bar tape, new chain. Shifts crisply, rolls smooth. Lightweight, fast, comfortable. Unique and fun to ride.
Light duty gravel, road riding, commuting, or just casual riding, this bike is versatile and capable. %100 ready to ride, comes with pedals to get you rolling, either clip in or platform. Needs a loving home that will take care of it.
