One of the higher end Schwinn road bikes from the late 80's. Lightweight, sporty geometry, and the ride quality you can only get from a steel frame. Stiffness, and at the same time, compliance. Though slightly heavier than some aluminum bikes, this bike's simplicity and high initial build quality really make it competitive with newer, more modern road bikes. Excellent contender for commuting, or spirited rides. Minnesota's rough roads and paths are made more tolerable with the comfort a steel frame can provide.
Rad teal paint color, cool 80's Schwinn graphics. Frame itself is in nice overall condition, no dents, dings or rust issues. There are some scuffs from storage in the garage, but nothing major. For its age, paint shows nicely.
Bike has been fully overhauled. Features brand new BMX platform pedals, brand new bar tape, a crisp Shimano 105 drivetrain setup, 105 brakes, and 105 hubs. Rims are matching, double wall Mavic. They are slightly wider than a lot of other road rims of this era, making them more comfortable than the narrowest rims from the day. The wheelset is clean and rolls very smoothly.
Mechanic owned and represented. Very clean, fully overhauled, rides like a new bike. If you can wrap your head around the downtube shifters, this baby represents a great value for those wanting something that is reliable, easy to maintain, and fast.
%100 tuned and ready to ride, meticulously cleaned, all it needs is a new home.
