Will fit folks around 5'9"ish
56cm (22.5") frame, likely a 400 series, however I've not looked at the serial number to confirm exact date and model. Likely between 1979 & 1981 based on the decal, dropout and frame tubing spec.
Custom built from the frame up. Retro gravel build, using select new components where required, and collector quality used components. Ishiwata chromoly frameset with low temperature silver braze. Beautiful lugged construction, handmade in Waterloo, Wisconsin.
Component highlights include a Suntour Superbe triple crankset, Suntour bar con shifters, drilled Weinmann brake levers with brand new hoods, brand new bar tape, a new Velo Orange saddle, shimano SIS derailleurs, a new chain, 8 speed cassette drivetrain with a Shimano 600 Tri-Color rear hub, Salmon rear brake pads, new pads on front, new cables & housing all around, fresh grease all around.
Very smooth, very light for what it is. The Compass Barrow Pass 700x38c tires are set up with tubes, and have a cloud-like ride quality. They are so very light, and so very plush. The ride quality is incredible.
Nobody out there will have a vintage Trek quite like this.
