New wheels!(Or-8 Cartridge bearing wheelset with freewheel and fixed threading on the rear hub, currently setup as a freewheel single speed, not fixed)
Fresh Bontrager 700x35c tires (bigger volume, good puncture resistance, good cushion from potholes, good tread for if you feel like taking some gravel roads or doing some more cyclocross action)
Single speed conversion (ACS rear freewheel, 17-44t ratio) w/ new crankset.

Classic lugged steel Schwinn frame is decently lightweight, and a timeless design. The graphics are a little faded, but the frame itself is in very nice shape, paint is still vibrant, no rust, no dents.

An awesome vintage-new bike! Rolls super smooth.
