Wald BMX cruiser style fork raises up the bottom bracket just a little and really helps with the handling at faster speeds. Have the original fork I can include if that is something you want.
Beautiful pin striping on the frame and beautiful graphics on the chain guard. These delicate bits of graphic often wear away, it’s nice to have these details showing nicely.
Bottom bracket, hubs, headset have all been fully overhauled with a full scrub down and fresh grease. Rolls super smooth.
The best feature of this bike has to be the custom hand built wheelset. Look at the beautiful twist lace front wheel on high flange Schwinn hub! The twist lace technique must be done by hand and adds about 3 times the amount of work to building a wheel over a standard wheel. Very unique lacing pattern; not too many wheels like this out there. Clean alloy rims are considerably nicer than stock, much lighter weight, and a lot more fun to ride than the heavy stock steel rims.
Zippy, super smooth, fast rolling. Great bmx cruiser style geometry, hits a beautiful sweet spot between an all original and a bmx cruiser. Way faster than it would have been from the factory, but still has all the aesthetic of an original American made classic.
