Sega Saturn Model HST-3200 (Japanese) with Fenrir Optical Drive Emulator (ODE) (Clone) includes:
* SD Card with North American games library installed.
* New-in-box Officially Licensed Sega/Retro-bit controller.
* Kaico 1080p Upscaler HDMI Adapter, with USB power cable.
* 3D printed SD card slot adapter that fills the hole under the lid where the CD-ROM drive was located. It has extra SD card storage slots.
* Recapped (Capacitor Replacement) power supply. This Saturn will get clean, regulated power for decades to come.
* Added new thermal paste between the voltage regulators and the heat sinks. The old paste was long gone.
* Replaced the real-time-clock (RTC) battery with a Panasonic Lithium-Ion cell.
* Replaced the onboard game-save memory to the FRAM type. The old onboard memory relied on the RTC battery to maintain saved games. The failure rate on the RTC is very high on the Saturn. You'll never have to worry about losing your game saves due to the battery dying.
* The Fenrir ODE replaces the CD-ROM drive, which is doomed to fail eventually, especially given that the Saturn is 31 years old. The ODE also gives you a chance to sample the entire Saturn game library while saving you thousands of dollars on expensive games.
* This Fenrir ODE is a clone, meaning that it is not built by the creator/original manufacturer. That does not mean a drop in quality. This ODE functions exactly like the original and will last for many, many years.
* The console is Japanese region, but the main menu has been changed to display everything in English. This console plays all of the North American games (everything on the games is in English, as they were made) and all of the Japanese games. It can also play the PAL game library (Europe), but those games play at a 50mhz video signal while the North American and Japanese games play at 60mhz. It is possible to play PAL games, but for them to run properly, you'll need a video output mod installed. I don't do that mod. I will provide a guide to change the system menu language to English, which you'll have to do after you change the RTC battery.
Note: Changing the RTC battery is optional. It keeps the clock at the current time and the other System Menu settings saved (language settings). Saved games aren't date stamped, and the Fenrir ODE menu will always display English, regardless of if there is a charged battery installed or not.
I have done all of the mods myself and can vouch for their quality.
