Responsibilities and Duties
As a valued member of our service team, you will be the trusted representative of our company from the install date onwards. After initial installation, you will continue to build relationships with our customers through monthly preventative maintenance visits, as well as being there to save the day with emergency repairs.
This is a remote position as our company is based in Minneapolis. However, you will be closely connected to our in-house service team for help with troubleshooting, submitting weekly reports, and for any new product training.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate would be a self-starter with the ability to work both independently and cohesively with others in a 40-hour workweek, with potential for more. Our service representatives are the ‘face’ of the company post-installation, therefore we are looking for someone who is well-spoken and a great representative of our family-owned and operated business. Having past field experience is a plus but not a requirement.
Given the nature of our machinery, it is important that our service technicians possess a basic understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electricity that will be built upon with training. A car wash is a large piece of machinery, with some of the parts weighing up to 50 pounds and some as high up as 8’. To ensure the safety of our service technicians, please be sure you are comfortable and confident in working with these conditions before applying.
This service technician will be responsible for all of our customers in the twin cities area, commuting by company vehicle. In order to safely serve all of our customers in a timely manner, our service technicians must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. Infrequently we may request a longer commitment from you that may require overnight travel.
Broadway Equipment Company offers a competitive hourly rate with the ability to earn additional commission and potential overtime. We want to ensure you feel confident in your role and offer a structured/paid training program. Once you are trained and ready to start servicing the Minneapolis area, we will provide you a reliable company vehicle and cell phone with expenses paid. Being a full-time employee you will also receive paid holidays, retirement savings plans, medical and dental insurance, as well as personal time off.
$15-25/hour depending on qualifications
