I’m gonna send out my intention and see if it exists Or if I need to manifest it 🙂 I’m 31 and single but super active and love to meet people-couch surfers, community-minded folk, etc. Currently live in Powderhorn area and love the community, but don’t love the 35w construction! I’ve been searching for what I call a coop apartment meaning like a Dreamhouse 1 where everyone has their own space, but there’s still a community to hang out with and ideally some common spaces. A mother-in-law or loft apartment would be ideal but with people who still want to hang out from time to time/share an occasional meal, be there for each other when needed, etc.
From my search, coop apartments or community apartments seems nothing more than a name, a moniker for subsidized, low-income housing, or a student coop. And I’m ready for the next period of life after student living-no offense. That means new appliances, laundry, and heck a porch/deck and garage if I’m really lucky. No pets but happy to help take care of one so long as I’m not solely responsible. I’m ideally looking for something $600-750, but I know that is pushing it 😉
Location wise I’m strongly considering Whittier but could be swayed otherwise as I’ve learned good roomies can make anywhere feel like home. Love Powderhorn área and the lakes, and ready to try something new/don’t love the 35w commotion and commute to St Paul every day. Also thinking about Eliot Park, Loring Park, and anything closer to downtown.
My lease isn’t up til August but starting on this early! Thanks!
