condition: fair
make / manufacturer: Toyota
model name / number: FJ40 landcruiser
Selling my last 2F engine out of a 1979 FJ40 Landcruiser, going to a diesel.

This engine is out of a '79 that was used as a parts rig due to a high school auto shop butchering the rusty body. I got it running for the first time in about 20 years recently and was able to complete a compression test, about 145-155 psi across the board. Engine has a brand new OEM non-US distributor and new Fuji non-US carb from CityRacer. Air injection ports are plugged, EGR has been removed. Engine is de-smogged and dizzy is vacuum advance now with this setup. Air cleaner will be included as well as a new oil pan gasket, new motor and bellhousing mounts, '76 ignitor (What I tested engine with), '79 ignitor, and what I believe is a minitruck ignitor that looks just like the '76 ignitor, '76 carb, ~'82 FJ60 carb, '79 parts carb, FJ60 fan, a set of aftermarket headers off another 2F, carb fan, and probably some other parts as well. Basically anything I have that is 2F related, you can take. I have no use anymore.

FJ60 power steering box, pump and bracket available ('79 block is drilled and tapped for the bracket).

1250 without new carb and dizzy, extra for new dizzy, carb, and FJ60 power steering.

Engine did have a small amount of water get into pan through dizzy hole while it was outside under a tarp over the summer which was plugged with rags. I know it wasn't in there long as there was no water in it when I last checked it over when I moved it. I pulled the pan and cleaned it out, about 1 inch of ice was in the bottom of the pan. Flushed with fresh oil before getting it running. Oil fully primed to rockers and has good pressure. It has been in the garage since.

Here is a short vid of it running: https://youtu.be/ObY2FZ3Sou0
