The "Instanto" Underwood's Patent, c.1896-
This is the antique Instanto Half plate Mahogany Tailboard camera with f8 brass lens, circa 1896.

The Instanto Camera was manufactured by the E & T Underwood company from approximately 1886 to 1905. A popular model designed as a high quality stand camera in the English style. Constructed of seasoned mahogany, brass fittings and a black leather bellows. Lens optics are clean, with minor internal dust which will not impact image quality. Overall in excellent condition for the age of the camera. Not tested. Selling as-is. A good addition for collectors.
