The Epic D1 POV Video Cam shoots D1 720 x 480 video with audio. It also shoots VGA 640 x 480 video. Plus, it can capture either 2.0 megapixel or low-resolution VGA digital still images. The camera also supports a 1-9 adjustable burst mode for capturing still image sequences. The D1 POV Video Cam features MP4 file extension format with compression H.264 codec at 30 frames per second. It's equipped with a 2.0 megapixel color CMOS 1/3" image sensor and a 5P glass lens with IR coating. The lens boasts a 48° diagonal angle view with a 45° output viewing angle on stills and video.
The D1 POV Video Cam is designed for any type of sport or adventure use. Epic sells several optional mounting applications and the camera has Exposure / Balance image quality control. There's also a 1x/2x digital zoom for both video and stills. For storing your recorded videos, the device features an SD card slot that supports up to 16GB SD cards. For buffering, the camera has an internal 32MB SDRAM memory. The camera is powered by two AAA batteries and has a single USB 1.0 output for transferring your video and stills to your computer. It also has an optional A/V output via the Epic Viewer preview/review screen. The D1 POV Video Cam is compatible with Windows 2000, XP, Vista, 7 and Mac OS 10.4 or higher.
