Yamaha YTR-232 Bb student/beginner/early intermediate Bb trumpet in good playing condition.
Gold lacquer finish is in rough shape in a few places from not wiping the trumpet down after playing/laying in the case wet. No major dents, just the usual dings that a +30 year old student trumpet would have. Solder repairs to the braces have been made at sometime in the past; everything is still holding strong. This trumpet appears to have owned by a school district in its former life; valve casing and mouthpiece have been etched with a tracking identifier number that is starting to fade away.
Played the trumpet before posting, it has a big strong tone and volume level with good valve action from low F# to double Bb with included Yamaha 11 mouthpiece. Trumpet is straight and well balanced. There is absolutely nothing that affects the playability of this trumpet.
The trumpet has been cleaned, serviced, and lubricated, and is now ready for the next player. Comes with an aftermarket hard-shell case and a Blessing 7C mouthpiece.
This trumpet does play, still sounds great, and isn't going to win any beauty pageants. What you see is what you get. If you're looking for a playable bargain or if your band director is requiring "YAMAHA" this school year, look no further. Excellent trumpet for the beginner/early intermediate looking for a trumpet for concert/jazz/pep/marching band. Do not be put off/scared of how it looks. Trumpet playing is about the sound that comes out of the bell. Judges at band contests and the audience do not care what your trumpet looks like or what you look like sitting at the back of the band behind all of the flutes, clarinets, saxophones, and French horns.
