Conn/Selmer Prelude/TR711 Bb intermediate-level trumpet made by Conn-Selmer, the same company that makes the Bach Stradivarius trumpet. Gold lacquer finish is in excellent shape except for an extremely tiny area of finish wear on the bell under where the brace is soldered on (that you won't see when the horn is played); there are no scuffs or scrapes. This trumpet looks spectacular under the bright lights. Trumpet has a red brass leadpipe to help with proper "note-slotting" and a yellow brass bell to help give it a very warm sound. There are no dents, only a small ding at the bottom of the second valve side from hitting a music stand; you have to be holding the trumpet to see it. This trumpet is as close to showroom new as you can get. There is absolutely nothing that affects the playability of this trumpet.
The trumpet was recently cleaned, serviced, lubricated, and is ready to play today!!! Everything that is supposed to move does so freely. Water keys are in excellent condition.
Played it a bit ago, and it is free blowing with huge sound from low F# to double G. Bell resonates beautifully in the mid-to-high register when you put the air to the mouthpiece (especially if you use a larger one; Bach 1.5C-3C, Stork 2C, Schilke 15, etc.). If you're "that kind of player", this trumpet will lay waste to any woodwind section that is placed in front of it.
Valves respond quickly and quietly. This trumpet is straight and well-balanced, plays significantly easier and better/built much better than Bach TR300/TR500/Yamaha YTR-2XYZ/Getzen 300-400 trumpets. An excellent trumpet for beginners, intermediates, and those players aspiring to take it to the next level.
Comes with the original Prelude soft-sided backpack case, Bach 3C mouthpiece, and a partial bottle of Bach valve oil.
Perfect for the aspiring student, pep/marching band player, those looking to get out of pesky rental fees, and more. Priced to sell at 5-6 months rental from major music stores.
