One day it dawned on us - why not make an overdrive that would clock in at a couple million Scoville units? A couple of hundred burnt-out taste buds later, Los Calientes was born.
Los Calientes takes inspiration from the extremely tasty (and legendary) OD-1 overdrive and uses an RC4558 IC to serve up an imminently usable drive tone that goes from transparent to crunchy with the turn of a knob.
No matter your palate, Los Calientes has the tonal flavor for you.
Controls
Vol Knob: You've heard that song "Pump Up The Volume"? This works like that. Need more? Turn it to the right -- or "Pump It", if you like. Bandmates/neighbors complaining? Tell them to suck it up. If that fails, turn this knob to the left.
Gain Knob: Think of this like adjusting the spice on your hot sauce. Wanna feel some tingle? Try this fella around noon. Wanna things so spicy you'll want to slap your momma? Turn it to the right.
Input/Output: Instrument or other pedal goes on the right side, Amplifier or other pedal goes on the left side.
True bypass Footswitch: Turns the effect on and off.
Power: This pedal requires a center-negative 9-to-18VDC power adapter with at least 10mA of current (not included). There is no option for a battery.
