Summary
The Bicycle Assembler is responsible for the timely and accurate building of bicycles to Erik's quality standard for distribution to Erik's Bike Shop, Inc retail locations and made available for customer purchase.

Position Details
The primary responsibilities and areas of impact of this position include, but are not limited to:

Department Performance
• The assembly of bicycles in a timely and accurate manner to Erik's approved standard.
• Complete bicycle warranty, special project, and Ski/Snowboard work as directed.
• Provide feedback to the Assembly Department Assistant Manager on production notes and techniques
• Promote Erik's Distribution mission, values, and standards.

Department Operations
• Responsible for following all company policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean work area and assist in keeping the department presentable.

Development
• Continually open to ongoing coaching and training to better yourself and the Assembly Department as a whole.
• Complete an 8-week new hire Bicycle Assembler training course
• Obtain technical skill and equipment certifications as assigned by the Assembly Department Assistant Manager.


Position Requirements

Experience
• Prior mechanical experience in the bicycle, motorcycle, automotive, or construction trades preferred.
Skills
• Ability to communicate and interact with a diverse population.
• Mechanically inclined with problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Present a strong customer service focus.
• Ability to multitask and change focus as needed.
• Knowledge of computers and technology.
• Dedication to get the job done.


Working Conditions
• Ability to stand, and use hands for up to 10 hours a day, 5 days a week.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
• Exposure to various chemicals such as grease, cleaning solutions, and ski/snowboard cleaning and waxing agents.
• Ability to work in an enclosed warehouse work environment with limited temperature control (cool in the winter, hot in the summer)
