We milled up some hickory in southwest WI a few years ago with the hope of using for projects. However, some kind of bugs or worms got into it as it was drying and a bunch of it also cracked worse than we were hoping.
I am wondering if anyone out there would have any use for these boards? There is some good lumber in there, would just take somebody that has the time to cut it up and find the good stuff and/or use resin to patch up the holes. They have been drying for a year or two now with stickers so they are ready to use.
The 9' long boards are about 1.5" thick and are between 9"-17" wide. We have around 15 slabs of these.
The 10.5' long boards are around 1.5" thick and are between 17-19" in width, have around 14 of these. All milled with live edges.
I honestly don't know what it may or may not be worth, but it is all currently back home in WI about 5 hours away so at a minimum if someone could use the boards, gas money would be greatly appreciated but we might be able to work something out! Thanks and take care all!
