This is a striking, tribal SERAPI Oriental rug that was hand knotted in Turkey in the 1950's. It is an elegant and strikingly beautiful piece (which is why we used it to stage a very upscale home that has now sold.)
This is a statement piece with a unique and rich look to it. It is an elegant tribal design with a large ivory hexagon in the center of the crimson red colored field. And this is surrounded by an ebony/black outlined hexagon, and then surrounded by a thinner ivory and mixed color border. The exact size is 7.0x5.10 (so about 7x6). It is a semi-antique (being from the 1950's) and in excellent condition. We choose pieces like this for staging because the designs, quality, and colors are simply not available in newer pieces. Plus the patina in these pieces gives a richness new rugs simply can't.
This is an exceptional piece that will enhance your home wherever you use it. It is available because the staged home in which it was used, has been sold. (We take the rugs back after staging and sell them for a portion of their cost to reduce the staging fee.) At retail this is about $2500-$2800; just $675 here since the staging fee paid for the bulk of the cost.
