1). Book 1, Treasured Recipes:

This recipe book is classified as Very Good and not Like New because there is some discoloration on the cover, at the lower right-hand corner and along the outer edge

Also, there is some edge wear and a little corner wear on the covers

Other details include that the underside of the cover has a short dedication written in ink at the upper left-hand corner

All considered, however, this is a delightful collection of recipes with perfect pages inside

With regard to the inside pages, this book does not look like it has been used

There are almost 200 pages of recipes including caramel devil's food cake, gum drop bars, Hungarian stuffed cabbage, Danish puff coffee cake, finger paint, clay, and play dough

Almost every page has a recipe title that I'd like to include here; it is really a fun collection

Additionally, there are pages with guides for weights and measures, substitutions and equivalents, and sizes of food portions equaling 100 calories


2). Book 2, Country Cookbook:

This recipe book is in excellent condition with delightful recipes like homemade noodles, cinnamon-crusted zucchini coffee cafe, and crunchy peanut taco casserole

There are 150 pages with 14 pages at the back that have useful charts and definitions

The covers are vinyl for easy care

There are 7 sections including Soups, Salads and Sauces; Main Dishes; Meats, Poultry and Seafood; Breads, Rolls and Pastry; Cakes, Cookies and Confections; Desserts; and Beverages, Sandwiches and Miscellaneous

For the first section, there are tips, additions and garnishes, definitions, accompaniments

For the second section, there are definitions of common kitchen pans with their precise dimensions, and their volumes

For the Meats, Poultry and Seafood section, there is a meat cooking chart

For the Breads, Rolls and Pastry section there are baking tips and a trouble-shooting guide

For the Cakes, Cookies and Confections section, there are candy testing charts

For the Desserts section, there are substitutions and can sizes

For the final section of Beverages, Sandwiches and Miscellaneous, there are helpful cooking hints

Also, there are, indices, cooking term definitions, definitions of processes, daily nutrient guides, vitamin guides, many pages on meat cuts and their weights, measurements and serving sizes, charts and tables for vegetable cooking, calorie counters for every type of food, quantity cooking charts for large groups, ingredient substitution list, weekly food quantities by gender, extra pages for notes and favorites recipes, and extra space for writing in new recipes

(There is a small dedication inside the front cover, but aside from this, there is no writing)


Both cookbooks have a spiral binding which is very handy when in use
