This is an impressive looking and richly detailed, Antique Oriental rug, that was hand-knotted in Turkey in the 1940's. The design style is known as a SERAPI, which is a sophisticated tribal design. This SERAPI is in excellent condition, and features a strikingly beautiful and rich design. The exact size is 8.10x4.10 (so about 9x5).

This gorgeous, tribal oriental rug is available for sale, because the City Lakes staged home, in which it was featured, has sold. (We take our rugs back after staging to sell them for a portion of their cost, to charge a lower staging fee.) This SERAPI features a soft but darker tomato red field, and a beautiful diamond shaped central medallion in ebony outlined in gold. (The colors in this rug are soft and rich because the woolen yarn was dyed using vegetable dyes for a richer yet softer, and deeper color than harsh chemical dyes used in lesser quality, newer rugs.) This oriental is a really beautiful piece that will enhance any space in which you decide to use it.

This rug was constructed of 100% virgin wool on a cotton warp (understructure). It's a beautiful piece, with a traditional and highly detailed design that can be used in many ways. This rug features 140 KPSI (knots per square inch), with a total of about 1.2 million knots, and it took about 2100 hours of labor to hand knot this piece. It is of excellent quality, consistent with what we would expect in a very good quality Persian Oriental rug.

This rug was selected for its beautiful and impressive design, and it would be fantastic in a living room, dining room, office/study, or also in a master or guest bedroom. It features a design that is highly versatile, so it could work well in a traditional, transitional, modern, or contemporary setting. At retail this rug is about $2800+; JUST $775 here, but cash or VENMO only, please. Email or text me to view it, or call me. Thanks.
