Ownership & Use:
I’ve owned this tractor for the past eight years. It has been stored indoors (shed or garage) when not in use and has been used almost exclusively for mowing. During our ownership, it has only seen light-duty work, and it has always started and run reliably.
Mechanical:
New drive shaft and U-joints recently installed — this is a common wear item on these tractors, so you shouldn’t have to worry about this repair for a long time.
Mower deck cuts slightly shorter on one side. I suspect it just needs blades sharpened or replaced. It hasn’t bothered me, so I haven’t addressed it.
Overall Condition
No other known issues. It runs as you’d expect from John Deere of this age. A solid, dependable compact tractor with plenty of life left.
