This exquisite, tribal, oriental rug, features a rich and detailed design. It is known as a MASHAD design. This oriental rug was hand-knotted in Iran, in the 1940's, making it about 80-85 years old. The exact size is 9.2x6.6, and it is in excellent condition. This particular MASHAD is a beautifully, detailed piece with a rich and elegant look. It was hand knotted and constructed with design detail you won't find in newer, less labor intensive pieces.

This MASHAD has a rich raspberry-red colored field with a beautiful lotus leaf shaped center medallion and a navy border. Its design style is one that could be used in many style settings, including traditional, contemporary, transitional, or even modern. It is an easy to use piece.

This rug was used to stage a very large city lakes home that has now sold, and it enhanced the entire house. (We take the rugs back after the staging and sell them for a portion of their cost to lower the staging fee.) It is a special piece that will enhance your home.
