This gorgeously, exotic-looking, oriental rug, features a fantastic design, and it is known as a "HERIZ" design. It is an exceptional design, with a subtle and large central medallion, featuring a large, midnight-blue, diamond-shaped, design, with a crimson red square inside. The field is a rich red and the outer border is both crimson red with some navy and ivory, as well. This beautiful oriental was hand-knotted, in Iran, in the 1930's, so it is about 90 years old. This rug has a rich and elegant look. It features intricate design detail, and rich, softened color patination, you won't find in newer, less labor intensive pieces. The exact size is 10.10x8.5 (so just about 11x8 in size), and it is in excellent condition. It is an exceptional rug; and the colors are all vegetable dyed colors for a deeper, richer and more expensive look than the flat-looking, harsh chemical dyes used on today's newer pieces.
This rug is one that could be used in many style settings, including traditional, contemporary, transitional, or even modern. When you look at all the detail that went into the rug, you know it is truly a work of art. This rug was used to stage a very large city lakes home that has now sold, which is why it is available. (We take the rugs back after the staging and sell them for a portion of their cost to reduce the initial staging fee). We used it in the main floor living room, and it did a beautiful job of enriching the whole house. It is a very special piece that will enhance your home. At retail this rug would list for about $6500-$7000 but just $1475 here since the staging has paid for the bulk of the cost. Cash, or VENMO are accepted. Message me here to view it and purchase it.
