This Alnor Velometer was made using quality non-electric parts and has worked reliably for 46+ years.
This unit is a Series 6000 and was made around 1972.
It comes with a manual and the various attachments to measure the various pressures
which are put into a formula (in the manual) to get air speed... especially useful in ductwork.
The airspeed measurements are made in feet/minute or metric meters/sec and
the unit is detecting pressure in inches of water column.
The Alnor velometer converts the pressure created when the rush of air hits a tip of the pitot tube "head on"... and
also at that point, the pressure pushing in all directions as the air is forced down the duct is compared and give you airspeed.
