DYNACO PAS-3X Quality Vintage Tube Stereo Preamplifier Restored in Excellent Condition. This is a well made stereo tube preamplifier from the 1960's that provides quality tube sound. This unit has had a high quality restore done by TC Tubes including some new capacitors, upgraded wiring where needed, cleaning, and a new SDS Labs power supply board including electronic components installed. This was a kit assembled unit but any incorrect wiring was redone and upgraded. This preamplifier has the original 4 Telefunken 12AX7 Dynaco labelled tubes which are highly regarded. They test strong and are in excellent condition. There is also one Dynaco 12AX4 tube in excellent condition Long Life. The preamplifier is in excellent working condition and provides quality clean full sound. All functions work well. There are inputs for Phono RIAA, FM-AM Tuner, Spare, and Tape and the Spare and Tape inputs can also be used for CD player or other analog unit. The preamplifier is in very good exterior condition with some medium moderate wear. The faceplate is nice with some upper edge scraping wear and few light scratches and the main surface area is excellent with light wear. The lettering is excellent with the exception of the "Power" label which is mostly rubbed off. The metal cabinet is very good with some normal age wear. The rear panel and inputs are excellent with one AC plug-in being chipped but functional. There is an ID number lightly engraved in the rear. The informational paper in the rear is in excellent condition. Included is the original Instructions for Assembly and Operation manual in excellent condition. I am selling a Dynaco ST-70 power amplifier which this preamplifier pairs well with. I am also selling a pair of Acoustic Research AR-3A speakers serviced in excellent condition which would sound excellent in this system. $1250.
