This soundbar is in excellent condition, and sounds fantastic!
This is not a cheap plastic soundbar; this thing looks mean, and packs a punch.
It’s made out of military grade aluminum. It has hard angles on it which give it a fantastic looking aesthetic that is modern, minimalist, and somewhat industrial.
It has a very slim profile (1.75” tall), so it can fit underneath your TV without blocking the picture. It measures 43.5“ wide, and it is 3.5” deep. I had it under my 55” TV, and it fit perfectly.
You can also mount it directly to the wall if you prefer (no mount required). Another option is to purchase a $15-20 mount from Best Buy, Amazon, Walmart, etc., and attach it to your TV’s wall mount so it moves in/out or left/right when you move your TV.
The soundbar has 7 speakers (4 midrange, and 3 tweeters) which are powered by 7 individual amps. It also has an 8” high excursion wireless subwoofer that aint no joke!
I have previously utilized multiple soundbars from Sony, Samsung, Vizio, and Bose. This Def Tech is without a doubt the best sounding. You will not be disappointed with the quality of the sound or the visual appeal of this system.
It supports Dolby, and DTS surround sound decoding. It has two optical inputs, and a 3.5mm input so you can connect peripherals directly to the soundbar.
It even has a subwoofer output, so if you wanted to add a second subwoofer, you can add a second one easily.
You can also stream music wirelessly to the soundbar from your phone, tablet, or computer via the Play-Fi application. There are several streaming apps that are supported (Amazon Music, iHeart Radio, Pandora, Spotify Sirius XM, Tidal, etc.), or you can stream music that is stored directly on your device.
The system also supports the addition of wireless rear speakers in the event you want to create a true 5.1 surround system. Def Tech has a number of models that are compatible (the W7 and W9 come to mind), but any Play-Fi compatible speakers will work (Klipsch, Polk, Martin Logan, Paradigm, Pioneer, Audiolab, Onkyo, etc).
The Play-Fi system allows you to create a “whole-home” system if you choose to do so. So you can have different wireless speakers in different rooms of the house, create different speaker groups/zones, and control what is playing on all of them through the app.
It is currently disconnected, and ready for sale. However, I am happy to hook it up and demo the system for you at the time of purchase if you would like.
