Meticulously maintained and in excellent condition for a car of its age, this Civic spent its first 16 years in California and has minimal rust (see underbody photos). Original EPA rating of 50 city / 47 highway mpg remains competitive with modern vehicles for efficiency, and it continues to perform! Selling at long last to go fully electric.
Approx. 226,500 miles as I am still occasionally driving it to keep it in shape.
Full maintenance records since 2011 included. Service and condition highlights include:
- Engine: original stock engine is rock-solid Honda construction and will outlive everything else in this car
- Transmission: Hybrid CVT (automatic) ~ NEW OEM transmission installed in 2015 at 181,000 miles
- High-voltage (hybrid) battery: NEW aftermarket 144V NiMH battery installed in 2017 at 192,000 miles
- Low-voltage (12V) battery: last replaced in 2017, nearing end of life but still tests and runs OK
- Tires & Brakes: reasonable tread and thickness remaining - hybrid system offers dynamic (regenerative) braking which is extremely gentle on both
Clean title, no smoking, etc. For the mechanically inclined, purchase includes shop manual and OBD-II reader for the car.
