Collectable Retro rare made in England Lightweight Viscount Aerospace Pro Road bike that has been fully cleaned, lubed, tuned with wheels trued. Really a nice example of the period, known for their light weight, well built, nice ride. Comes complete with the famous aluminum "death fork", this appears to have the 3rd generation fork that some say were safe to ride with but do your own research. (If you're going to ride the bike hard you may want to upgrade the front fork).
24" Lightweight thin tube 4130 Chromoly frame.
2 x 5=10 speed drivetrain with Shimano shifters and derailleurs.
Perfect condition comfortable Viscount made in England leather saddle! (Like a Brooks).
Quick release 27" lightweight alloy wheels with sealed bearing Shimano hubs.
Sealed Bearing bottom bracket.
Center-pull brakes.
Tires are brand new. (Some of the pics still show the old tires that were on it).
Christophe Leather Strapped Toe clips. (Easily removed if you don't like these).
Lightweight Alloy Pedals.
Paint is in excellent shape.
Really a nice exceptional lightweight Made in England bike. Ride and/or display/collect.
I have included some pics of some literature of the bike that someone shared with me that had bought one new at a bike shop in Hopkins MN. in 1976. Good stuff!
