Yankee Flying Club at Crystal Airport has a membership share available for sale.

You can own 1/65th of 4 airplanes, and be part of a social community of pilots that meets every month to talk about flying education, aircraft maintenance, financials, and improvements to the fleet.

Our club has 4 aircraft: a Cirrus SR-20, a Cessna 182RG, and two Cessna 172s. Our planes are very well taken care of, since we own them collectively, and fly them ourselves. We invest in the planes to keep them up to date - the aircraft are well equipped with modern avionics and are in great physical shape (mechanical and cosmetic).

All 4 aircraft are IFR certified, with Garmin GNS430WAAS GPSs, GTX345 ADS-B transponders (receives weather radar and traffic info for the installed GPSs, and can send to tablets via Bluetooth), and Garmin audio panels. The Skylane also has a GNS530W, digital engine monitor, stormscope and carb ice detector. The Cirrus is the old-style 6 pack, with an updated Avidyne MFD and dual GNS COM/NAV systems. Both 172s have Garmin G5 Primary Flight Displays replacing the attitude gyro and our pilots love the G5. The SR20 and 182RG both have autopilots, and as of March 2019 we have a brand new Garmin autopilot and second G5 (as a digital HSI) in one of the 172s (picture not updated yet). We are considering options to upgrade the Cirrus to a newer model SR-20 in the next year or two, and possibly install some glass displays in the Skylane.

We take pride in how well maintained we keep our airplanes and seek pilots of all experience levels.

The club is owned by its 65 share holders, and member ship is fixed to these 65 shares. The share that you buy is an ownership share that you sell when you leave the club. Our monthly dues of $89 (plus tax) covers insurance, hangar rent, scheduled annual maintenance, and other regular charges. Our aircraft hourly rates, posted on our website, covers the costs of operating the aircraft, primarily fuel, engine reserve, and unscheduled maintenance.
