condition: good
make / manufacturer: Hand-made
Ideal for creating a Teacup Cactus Garden.
Cup and saucer are handmade and hand painted with a daisy pattern and are made from oxide-rich clay found in Mexico. It’s known as Barro Rojo (Red Clay) valued for creating pottery with a beautiful, warm, rich, earthy look.

My grandaunt traveled to Mexico in the 50’s where she bought these from a street vendor. It’s likely that the same woman who crafted them also fired them at home in a wood-burning kiln. In other words, these weren’t manufactured with industrial equipment and a team of quality control overseers. The “imperfections” are what make these pottery pieces even more charming.

No chips or cracks. But because they’re handmade, any imperfections were accepted and glazed over.

Saucer surface is about 5” diameter with 2.75” foot
Cup is about 4” diameter with 1.75” foot

Cash only.
