My name is Dan Lowinger. I have been playing and teaching guitar professionally for over 20 years, and touring nationally and internationally with different bands/artists during this time as well. I moved to the Twin Cities from Portland, OR a year and half ago, and I am now teaching guitar out of Eclipse Music in West Saint Paul.
I teach many different styles from beginner to advanced levels. This includes rock, country, western swing, rockabilly, funk, soul, surf, swing jazz, jump blues, and others. If you interested in more advanced country guitar we can cover a range of things, including Hybrid-Picking style (pick and fingers), chicken pickin' leads, country rhythm guitar, the Nashville numbers system, and all other aspects of country guitar. I can help you learn all the basic to covering a country gig.
I am also available for fill in gigs on both guitar and bass, studio work, and songwriting assistance in many different styles. Please contact me for more info.
My rate per lesson is $25.00 for a 1/2 hour lesson, or $80 dollars for four (1/2 hour) lessons if you pay in advance.
All Ages and Levels welcome!!!!!! Over the years, I have taught students ranging in age from 8-65!
Please check out my bio and youtube links for more info.
I'm looking forward to hearing from you!
Here is my basic music bio:
