It was taken out of the box only for a setup and it plays and sounds absolutely fantastic. I will throw in a gig bag for am extra $10.
It plays better than any Fender Squier that I have had. I am not going to try to tell you that it is as good as an American Fender but for the money it is better value.
This guitar is the short scale 24" and is vintage white and actually looks more yellow. The tremolo system works fine on it as well.
