My husband and I are both licensed day care providers through Dakota County and located conveniently right off 494, 35E and Pilot Knob Rd with hours of operation from 7:00am to 5:15pm. We have one part time opening available on Monday, Tuesday and Friday for a child 3 months to 5 years. We are a member of Providers Choice meal program and strive to serve tasty nutritious meals and snacks. We provide various opportunities for little ones to learn through educational toys, play time, professionally developed pre-school lesson plans and crafts. The children in our care enjoy stimulating activates that are exciting in a caring environment. Our facility offers 2 bright, spacious playrooms and almost an acre yard. Directly across the street is a lovely park that we visit frequently. Our home is smoke and pet free. We also offer:
*2 full time licensed care takers
*Weekly theme that all activities and projects are centered around
*Monthly Parent Newsletter offering parenting tips and practices as well as the month's theme and book list
*Rug time is held in the morning including daily basics such as date, weather, pledge of allegiance, number/alphabet/shape or color review, songs and rhymes time and open discussion of weekly theme
*3-5 weekly craft projects based on theme
*Enrichment Activity depending on age and skill level
*Dramatic Play encouraged with materials available focused on theme
*Movers and Shakers Time includes gross motor skill activities fostering daily physical activity and cooperation
*Weekly opportunities for science experiments, math and language arts activities and games
The pre-school curriculum is available but the depth of the involvement varies depending on the interest level and attitude of the children. I weave the theme into our time together and guide the children's play to include educational elements but I believe little ones absorb the most information when they are spontaneously playing following their own excitement and interests. I am simply available to expand on their play and interject new ideas and trains of thought, not dictate what and how they play.
Please feel free to contact me with questions or to arrange an interview.
Thank you for your time and consideration,
Anna & Chris
