Lynne's Non-Group Infant Care

I am looking for a client who needs 25 - 40 hours of infant care weekly during the weekdays, for just your baby! You can pick the days and start times you need. I can accommodate a rotating irregular schedule too.
I can start right away, or wait up to three months for a small holding fee. Your baby should be no older than 6 months when we start - the younger, the better!

I am located very near Exit 90 (County Rd 11) on I-35E, or a mile or so from the Burnsville Shopping Center.
I charge $9.00 per hour. I pay for my own Social Security and medical insurance because I am an independent contractor.

This is a reasonable price for the KIND of service I offer. I respectfully ask that you "compare apples with apples" when you look at prices! Home daycares average $225.00 weekly for infant care, and centers average $350.00 weekly for infant care, and sliding-scale fees for part-time are not often available. You wouldn't get a nanny or an au-pair with any experience for $9.00 either.

There is a QUALITY OF CARE here that you will not get at a Center or a group home daycare, with sometimes as many as 10 children being watched by 1 caregiver. What I am offering is most comparable to a nanny who comes to your home and just cares for your child. I don't come to your home, but you get a lot of other benefits like keeping your privacy, and various expenses from the wear and tear of childcare are mine because the service is in my home. This includes the cost of liability coverage.

I am an experienced nanny/childcare provider with great references and State of Minnesota technical college certification in infant and child care. I keep my CPR/First Aid training current! I am also insured. I am very loving, will keep your child safe, take them on strolls, swimming, and teach them a lot. I have a very clean home, and I own a LOT of books and toys.

You would supply diapers, wipes, milk or formula, bottles, nipples, pacifiers (if using), sunscreen, and baby food. You would also supply diaper rash paste such as Desitin and ibuprofen as needed (for teething).
Starting at one year, you may give me a cash allowance for food and I can buy the baby's food if you so desire. I will provide a weekly, monthly, or yearly receipt for tax purposes, and/or complete your forms if you are using pre-tax dollars.

I am offering a specialty NON-GROUP nanny-type infant care service in my home. With no other children at home, ALL my love, attention, and teaching goes to your baby! This is the Very Best Care you can get for your baby, and in my professional opinion it's the kind of care they NEED in the critical first few years of life. Contrary to popular opinion / myth, socialization is not something that an infant or early toddler can do - or needs. What they need is a sense of being very, very well-loved and taken care of by their caregiver. They also need to be protected from other children hurting them, and all the illnesses they get in group care - that lead to eartubes, etc. Children under 3 are very needy! My Daycare is based on Burton White's model of care (The New First Three Years of Life, Simon & Schuster, 1995). He was an expert on the subject and highly recommended non-group care until age 3. So did John Bowlby in his "attachment theory."

This is a small, short-term INVESTMENT with a huge, long-term gain! If you hire me, you will be getting the most precious person in your life off to a great start in their life!

If you feel that you are a good fit for me, please reply to this posting to ask any questions, and to set up an interview and review my policies at my home.
