Weekend RN – Home Care (Independent Contractor, $50/hr)
Location: Inver Grove Heights, MN
Schedule: Saturday and/or Sunday, 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Pay: $50 per hour
We’re seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to provide one-on-one weekend care for a young adult woman in a fully handicap-accessible home in Inver Grove Heights. This independent contract position is ideal for nurses seeking flexible part-time hours or supplemental weekend income.
About the Role
You’ll deliver personalized care and support for a young woman with complex medical needs in a safe, modern home environment. You’ll work directly for the family and be paid through the client’s county waiver (payroll managed by a home health financial management company). Client has cerebral palsy, epilepsy and uses trach/vent. Previous home health care experience necessary.
Schedule
Saturday 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Sunday 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Work one or both days — flexible options available. Hours can also change from 9-7, 7-5, or some shorter shifts as needed.
Responsibilities
Assist with daily living: bathing, dressing, oral care, grooming
Administer medications and monitor health needs
Support mobility with lift systems and adaptive equipment
Join in light outings, walks, taking her on accessible bike up and down street (weather permitting)
Conduct daily skin checks and stretching activities (training provided)
Qualifications
Current RN license in Minnesota
Home health or complex care experience (trach/vent, seizure disorders, tube feeding)
Reliable, compassionate, and physically capable of assisting with mobility
Positive, energetic, and dependable
